The site is situated close to the city centre, within the park of the former Cotonificio Carlo Ottolini, and is easily accessible on foot, by public transport, or by car.
The museum site is an important example of industrial archaeology, and the museum is dedicated to the history of textile production in the area.
By train (Trenitalia or Ferrovie Nord Milano – FNM):
The museum can be reached in approximately 15–20 minutes on foot from both Busto Arsizio FS (Trenitalia) and Busto Arsizio Nord (FNM) stations, walking through the city centre.

From Busto Arsizio Nord (FNM) station: the station is connected to the city centre; from there, follow the brown tourist signs indicating Museo del Tessile.
By car:
Take the A8 motorway (Milano–Varese) and exit at Busto Arsizio. Follow the signs for Centro/Ospedale and then the brown signs indicating Museo del Tessile.
Free on-site parking is provided for all visitors.
