Descrizione del corso

Description of the Course

The European Association of Private International Law (EAPIL), together with the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures of the University of Insubria, with the Law Faculty of the University of Murcia (Spain) and the Law Faculty of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Poland), is organising the first EAPIL Winter School.

The Winter School is co-organised by Fondazione Alessandro Volta, a Charity whose aim is to promote the scientific research, higher education and culture.

The 2024 inaugural edition will be devoted to Personal Status and Family Relationships.

The lectures will address recent aspects and new trends regarding personal status and family relationships in cross-border situations. Among others, the following topics will be discussed: the principle of mutual recognition, the transnational safeguard of human rights in Europe, the continuity of the status cross-border. Both Hague Conventions and EU legislative measures will be examined, under an approach combining theory and practice, and making wide room for interaction with the attendees.

Anno Accademico: 2023/2024
